~Texas gets a big “W” this weekend, unbelievable football! Many of my Georgia peeps are very happy too, lots of wins! Football season is certainly a start of weekend mania but this hot weather does a funny thing to us…even with football season here, we tend to forget that it is the start of the fall season! Not until it cools down, will it start feeling like fall. It is hard to believe that soon we will buying pumpkins, then Halloween costumes, and then Thanksgiving! I am not ready…are you?
~My home office is finally decorated (yay!) but I am also very upset with myself! As I was gathering pictures for my bookshelves, my heart sank as I was reminded that I lacked pictures of our family. I have LOTS of pictures of my four children and my children with both sets of grandparents but very few of the the six of us. And I am a photographer…talk about guilt, right? I mean…dang, I should know better! We have some, but sadly one of my favorite family picture of all six of us, is a low quality, grainy iphone picture.
~We all can make excuses why it isn’t a good time to have a family picture taken, I have heard them many times…and here are mine. 1.) I have braces (ugh!) 2.) I would love to be 10 pounds lighter! 3.) Too busy. The reality is that we can’t wait for the perfect time because there will never be a perfect time! I can’t go back in time, but I can certainly make a concerted effort from this day on.
