Purchase a notebook, take notes and watch this DVD over and over until you feel comfortable with how your camera works. I want you to know how to put it in Manual, AV mode and TV mode. You need to learn about the focus points and to understand exposure compensation. Find out your ISO and how high it can go. Sometimes you need to program your camera to allow it to go higher, so find that out as well.
Now get going and purchase the DVD so you understand your camera! Then we will work on aperature, shutter speed and ISO, so you understand what they mean and how to use them properly.
